Pastor Darren Thole grew up in a variety of states due to his dad’s work as a pastor. He earned an M.Div from the Protestant Reformed Seminary. In 1998, the Tholes moved to Hamill, SD, where he was ordained in the OPC and served as the pastor of Westminster OPC. Then, in April 2011, they moved to Huntsville, AL, where he has been the pastor of Providence Church ever since.

Pastor Thole is deeply committed to the Orthodox Presbyterian Church because of its strong stand on biblical inerrancy, its emphasis on biblical truth, God-centered worship, and the belief that all credit for salvation belongs to God, who graciously gives the gift of salvation to undeserving sinners through the work of Jesus Christ alone.

Darren met his wife, Jennifer, at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, and they've been happily married for over 25 years. They have four wonderful children: Jayden, Clayton, Franklin, and Annaclaire.
